Wildlife Mediation

Wildlife Mediation serves the Saint Louis Metropolitan area under permit of the Missouri Department of Conservation. Injured wild animals, as well as babies displaced from their parents, often find the care that they need here. Squirrels, raccoons, possums, chickens, songbirds, and groundhogs are no strangers to this facility.
Each Spring (AKA “Baby Season”), the Wildlife Mediation team are inundated with baby animals, which require around-the-clock care. Secret Service volunteers support staff with maintenance tasks that they do not have the bandwidth to keep up with. In the past, this has included building homes for squirrels and possums, cleaning and repairing enclosures, and organizing equipment and donations. Sometimes, volunteers receive gratitude from the animals themselves!

If you come across an injured or misplaced wild animal, please consult the Wildlife Mediation website before initiating contact.
